Rebecca Bennett is an award winning film producer and freelance commercial producer based in Sydney, Australia.

Rebecca’s feature documentary Ghosthunter premiered internationally at Sheffield Docfest, 2018 and at the Sydney Film Festival it received the top documentary prize - the Documentary Australia Foundation award.

Ghosthunter's successful festival run included MIFF, Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, DocMX and Austin Film Festival. Ghosthunter was nominated for four AACTA awards including best feature doco, taking home the award for best editing as well as the AWGIE for best writing.

Rebecca’s next feature doc Norita about Argentina’s “Godmother of Democracy” is produced alongside Daniel Joyce (Projector Films) and recently won the AIDC Factory pitch and the DocSociety new perspectives Pitch Lab. Norita is in Post production.

Rebecca is an EP on Sisyfos Films (Scheme Birds) latest feature doc The Scars of Ali Boulala which premiered at Tribeca 2021. 

Rebecca executive produced one of Audible’s first Australian Audio Originals. The Ghosthunter podcast was reviewed as one of the top 5 scary podcasts to listen to by Rolling Stone Magazine. She is currently in development on a fiction podcast that has US development backing.

Rebecca is also a well respected TV commercial producer, specialising in high end TV commercials, music videos and digital content - shooting both locally and internationally. Having produced through companies including Exit Films, 13&Co The Feds and Jungleboys. Rebecca has produced for many of Australia’s award winning commercial and music video directors such as Josh Logue and Ben Lawrence for Australia’s biggest agencies, brands and government departments.

Rebecca takes a strong interest in social justice issues and is passionate about storytelling.
